Eating more natural products, e.g., vegetables, fruits, groats, rice, meat and fish, is essential if you want to look and feel healthy.
• BAD SKINCARE – If you suffer from oily skin, you should always choose cosmetics which are good for you. You should eliminate products containing slow-drying vegetable oils and other comedogenic ingredients. You should also avoid deeply cleansing products which dehydrate your skin as it can exacerbate the problem.
• HORMONES – The hormonal imbalance has a huge impact on the amount of sebum produced by our skin. The excess of androgens can leads to oily skin and acne. The same applies to high adrenaline and cortisol levels which can directly impact the production of sebum.

What ingredients are recommended for people with oily skin?

• BHA acid – it penetrates skin to remove dead cells and excess sebum. The most common concentration of this acid in beauty products is 2%. It shouldn’t be combined with other acids as together they can irritate your skin. It should be used every three or four days. After applying BHA acid, go for soothing gel or cream.
• Vitamin PP – this popular ingredient known also as niacinamide or nicotinic acid strengthens your skin's protective barrier. If you have never used vitamin PP, start with small doses as higher concentration of the ingredient can irritate your skin. Never combine it with vitamin C in the same treatment. You can use these two ingredients alternately.
• Azelaic acid – this multi-purpose acid is suitable for various types of acne and blemishes.
• Clays – this product is meant for people struggling with both sensitive and oily skin. Thanks to its delicate but powerful formula it is one of the most frequently used types of face mask. Once on your skin, clay should not dry out completely. You can spray it with thermal or floral water.
• Zinc – oily skin problems can be caused by zinc deficiency. Zinc is contained in numerous creams and mineral cosmetics recommended for people with acne.
• Retinol – this antiaging agent registered by the FDA is recommended for people struggling with acne. If you want to try it out, start with lower concentrations and apply the product once every three days in the evening. Following the treatment, your skin will be more sensitive, so do not visit beauty salons and do not apply other irritating products. You skin will get used to it in about a month.
• Bakuchiol – it has an anti-acne and anti-aging effect. When you use it, your skin may peel a little. The ingredient is relatively new to the beauty market.
• Ceramides and fatty acids – you should certainly have them at home if you use products with acids that can dry your skin.
